Upright in youth, eventually spreading with evergreen powdery blue leaves and silvery to tan bark. Often found growing in or near swales, it's a bit more tolerant of summer water than other western oaks, but still offers excellent summer drought adaptation. Full sun, USDA zone 8a. MESA OAK
