A friend told me about the Mimosa flower, the day I was thinking of this painting. I was planning to paint our vase of flowers, so these bright yellow Mimosa were perfect to add between the mini roses and chrysanthemums. The starry red ones are from my imagination!! Apologies for the shadow on the top of the painting, I havent yet flattened it! Painted with Mijello artist watercolours on Arches 300 gsm paper.
