The site was found by the Palestine Exploration Fund's British researchers in 1873. Remains of a Roman fortress, a Byzantine church and an agricultural farm were excavated. The beautiful mosaic floors were removed and are currently exhibited at the Good Samaritan Museum, located between Jerusalem and Jericho. This is
