FromTheShire: Absolute worst case it's redundancy which is never a bad thing to have, but counters decks can easily be doing things on each turn to somewhat break the restriction and this has the upside of counting any permanents, not just creatures

I almost always prefer the former method because if ink gets pulled when you take the tape off, its far easier to patch up a black border than color-match and patch the back of the card and if your sleeves arent opaque on the back, a noticeable paint job will disqualify a card in tournaments (and it is noticeable)

Magic gameplay is fun, and anything we did to mess with it just made the set play worse

The Ozolith would make a great addition to shift around +1/+1 counters if a creature with them is removed from the battlefield
