After playing so much I am close to certain that playing 29 lands is right if you build your deck correctly it doesnt really happen that much that you just simply flood out or dont have a card in your deck that you need as explained but you can EASILY lose if you dont have lands the deck is extremely mana hungry and all the Scry Lands make sure that you DO draw that needed Krasis or Trawler so I just think that having bunch of lands is the way to go

Stack enough Wild Growth variants on your lands, and you have Bear Umbra doubling your mana

Let's also highlight the potential to do completely unfair and broken things like drawing dozens of cards from Necropotence or Yawgmoth's Bargain
