It has a window near the top that displays the colors red, black, and purple, presumably to indicate the color of the lead selected. It also comes with (2) metal inserts with stubs of . 080" leads in them. It is nickel plated with a lot of brassing and one ding. This should be a fun project for someone that likes these things.
